Lunar Phase

Lunar Phase application enables you to see informations regarding the state and the position of the moon and of the sun.

It offers views too about the moon as you can see it in the sky.

Notifications are available to not miss its various phases and state ascending or descending.

The application can be added on your screen as a widget (do not install it on the sd memory card in this case).

The available settings are as follows :

- Position of the observer

- Date

- Time

- Time zone

The displayed informations are as follows :

- Phase (New moon, Waxing crescent, First quarter, Waxing Gibbous moon, Full moon, Waning Gibbous moon, Last quarter, Waning crescent)

- Lunar and solar eclipses

- Ascending or descending moon

- Age : age since the new moon

- Illumination : % of the illuminated portion of the moon

- For the moon :

- Rise, transit and set times

- Azimuth and altitude

- Distance

- Constellation (installation of Planetarium required)

- For the sun :

- Rise, transit and set times

- Civil dawn and dusk times

- Azimuth and altitude

- Distance

- Constellation (installation of Planetarium required)

The available views are as follows :

- Lunar Phase : the moon as you can see it in the sky

- Google Maps view : the paths and positins of moon and sun

- Day view : the altitude of moon and sun during the day

- Sun, earth and moon : the relative positions of the sun, earth, moon and the observer

- Compass : conventional compass with positions in azimuth of the sun and moon

- Sky view : the sky view to the south (or to the north for those in the southern hemisphere) and an interpretation of current positions in azimuth and altitude of the sun and moon.

These views are now compatible with hardware graphic acceleration.
